WOW! I could not prepare for how bad the film really was! The script was written like a Monty Python sketch (that's not fair since MP is actually funny), Captain Jack is a complete cartoon, there's no characters only quirks of a character, if I hadn't seen the first four I wouldn't know who the main character was since there's 3 with different motivations trying to share the spotlight, Salazar had no menace or even a character, nothing's rememberable (or at least for good reasons), the action sequences aren't special, the CGI and blue screen was cartoon-ish and horribly distracting (why were there so many close ups of CGI characters!) and this isn't a movie, it's a product, Disney just wants to make another billion off the Pirates name! Sorry for the rant but I hated it.

Just like apart 4 it's okay. It has its moments and is fairly entertaining throughout, but it just feels like something is missing. Also, I hated the twist near the end and Javier Bardem's character was disappointing.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tells No Tales is not a great film by any means. It is a passable finale to a franchise that has lasted longer than anyone ever anticipated.
